Affordable, but doesn’t feel cheap at all.

First of all, be clear on what this sight is – it’s a tiny little sight for use on tiny little carry guns. If you’re looking for sight for a full-size sidearm, go get something else. If you have something like a Sig P365 however, you’re looking at a TERRIFIC solution.
I won’t argue with any of the things the other reviews have said – there is only one tiny downside to this sight and that’s having to un-mount it to change the battery. Honestly you shouldn’t have to do that more than once every 3-5 years so it’s no great hardship and will give you an excuse to go to the range and practice a little bit when you re-zero it.
I will clarify a bit how the brightness setting works on this. When the unit is off, one press on the side button will put it in HIGH brightness, subsequent presses will cycle it down to progressively dimmer settings until it gets to the AUTO setting, and that’s where the cool stuff happens. On Auto, the sight will adjust itself to be visible against the measured brightness downrange. When you holster or stow it, it’ll turn itself down to a very very low setting (but not off). It’ll stay in that mode until you hold down the button to shut it off completely. In any of the non-auto modes, it’ll switch over to auto after 5 hours. So – leave it in auto, and it’ll be immediately ready to go when you pick it up. If you’re going to put it in a safe you can shut it completely off and max your battery savings. I don’t know if the estimated battery life is with the sight in Auto or not, but I hope it is.
I’m super impressed with this. Now the question is: do I replace one of my other sights or do I buy something new to put this baby on? I’m thinking option 2…

I carry a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9 Performance Center model but have only used its fiber sights so far. I’ve used Burris red dots before on AR’s and they’ve always been the standard to which all else are measured. I know there’s brands that are more synonymous with red dots and reflex sights, but Burris has always just flat worked!
It seems this new Fastfire C is no exception. Less than 5 minutes of inspecting and reading the directions and I had this thing licked – it’s super easy to use! Now the install did present some issues that I am still resolving. There’s a few different models of the Shield 9 and some are optics ready while others don’t have any optics provisions. My model does not have optics provisions, so it requires an adapter plate to mount to the rear dovetail. So far, I’ve been through 3 adapter plates that all claim to match this situation but the problem is that they all fit the gun, but the pins to locate the sight are in the wrong location. I think I’m dealing with a brand new problem since this Fastfire C is fresh on the market and it’s a smaller footprint. I’ve got one more adapter on order to try and if it doesn’t work, I’ll be making my own. Thankfully I have a machine shop at my house to make it happen 🙂
Other than the isolated issue I’m dealing with (it wouldn’t be an issue if your gun is optics ready/on the list of compatible models), the sight is amazing. The glass is beautiful and feels like looking through a very high-end pair of polarized sunglasses. The always on dot is amazing too, talk about an ingenious idea! The last thing I want to think about in a defense situation is where the on button is for my sight. I want to be able to draw and aim, anything more than that and it’s too much to go wrong IMO.
So while I haven’t been able to send any lead downrange with this sight yet, you’re not going to be able to pry it away from me because I love it already. The size is small and the design is snag free. I have no doubts this will be up to carry duty for years to come!

This is very good but it doesn’t fit. They are made very nice and durable. My husband really love it but just doesn’t work .please refund our money, thank you very much.

In the big world of micro/pistol red dots, we’re used to most being a RMR type mount. This is a smaller, RMS-C type optic. I posted a picture that shows what models and makes it fits; make sure to check! This is even smaller than most of your pistol red dots, made for carry guns/compact pistols with slide cuts.
The optic itself is beautiful, well made and feature rich. Polymer housing, crystal clear, curved glass. This is some of the clearest glass I’ve ever seen on a micro red dot. For example, on my CCW rig, I have a popular brand of optic on there and there’s a blueish hue which doesn’t lend itself well to shooting at dusk. This glass is very, very clear with no hue of any color in the glass. The brightness adjustments are just done with one button on the left of the optic to cycle between 1-5 brightness settings, which then auto adjust to your lighting in any new environment. The optic should go very low or off when in the dark, assuming it’s holstered or in a safe.
There’s texturing on the front of the housing, should you need to use it to rack a slide, and there’s a hood over it to protect the glass. The optic also only weighs half an ounce.
I love that it comes with small rear site nubs that are removable… Also a white line in the middle just for quicker target acquisition if you’re trying to co-witness your sights. Only downside about those removable rear nubs up top is that it is not a top mounted battery. You do have to remove the optic to replace the battery. That being said, it does boast a 25,000 hour battery life, which is 2-3 years. This is achievable because of their light, sensing technology that allows you to set your brightness, and it will adjust in different light settings to save battery life, and not be too bright or too dark. It comes with many screws to mount, backup batteries and a no questions asked lifetime warranty. If you’re looking for a feature rich compact micro red dot on a middle of the road budget with a fantastic warranty, I would strongly recommend the Burris FastFire C.
