My only real complaint is they only use the front two recoil lugs of the Shield/J-Point/Optima footprint, with these lugs as part of the Hellcat slide, I needed an adapter plate or get the rear lugs milled off the slide, I chose the former. Sight is bright and I love the circle dot reticle option, and side mount battery. My main concern is the shake awake feature — it’ll be nearly always on when I’m carrying it walking around or riding in a vehicle as far as I can tell. I can see it is off when it is on my bench, but I’ve not bee able to move it without it turning on.

This is my first green dot sight. Green is easy on the eyes and target acquisition. Simple to mount on the Hellcat OSP (make sure you get the adapter plate). One of the primary reasons I got this brand is because of the ability to change the battery without having to remove the entire unit. Big plus to me. Quality glass and the shake to awake feature is excellent. Excellent upgrade for any EDC!

I haven’t yet, but I’ll likely be contacting the manufacturer soon to see if I have a faulty product. I’m having issues with the shake awake. Overall, it’s a great optic. Accurate, and fun to use. My issues:
Sometimes, it will not turn off or will wake for seemingly no input. I swear, it’s so sensitive that it’s waking from sensing migration of animals in Africa. I had it on my nightstand, but found that simply walking on the opposite side of the room would wake it. I now set it on a folded sock on my nightstand, and this damper seems to have reduced the frequency of these incidents.
Sometimes, it will not wake. I’ve had maybe 5-10 times where I cannot wake it regardless of effort! I’ll pick up my pistol, and shake it. Shake it repeatedly, and somewhat violently. No response. So I’ll hit the + button, THEN it turns on. Even more disconcerting, I’ve had this happen a few times while I was carrying it. I’ll holster my pistol with the optic on. A bit later (without experiencing 10 minutes of perfect stillness that may let it sleep), I’ll draw my pistol to check- and the optic will be off and unresponsive. Again, this requires pressing the + button to turn it on.
My expectation for this optic is that after 10 minutes of stillness it will sleep. And after motion, it will wake from sleep. Thus far, it’s been inconsistent enough that I actually don’t fully trust it.
One gripe about design: the lowest time it is possible to set for the optic to auto turn off is 10 minutes. I would love to at least see an OPTION to set it lower. In what scenario ever will it be held that perfectly still while in use / needing to be on for more than a minute or two? At least give us the option to set it lower at our discretion… or are you in cahoots with the battery manufacturers?

This is my second set of this brand and model. Mounted on a Glock 43xmos and a S&W M&P 22wmr. Most impressed with the accuracy and ease of target acquisition using the circle/dot configuration. Really like the green color too. I have other red dots in Vortex Venom, Burris Fastfire 2 and 3. I like them all, but the Holosun 507k is a standout. Shake awake is a nice feature, battery access is superior.
For the casual carry and/or recreational shooter I don’t think you can find a better product for the price range.
