Held up to some serious abuse during a competition.

This red dot is truly great. It has great NV performance, battery life and built so rugged. I love the fact that you can switch up the reticles to what you want and they are very clear. Keep in mind that if you have an astigmatism it won’t look crisp but that has more to do with your personal eyes not the red dot. It’s priced above the cheaper red dots but below the upper tier in price but not quality or capability.

Bought this product as new in good faith, it was well over $500. On receipt all Packaging was intact, including the holographic SigSauer sticker on the seam of the lid.
However, inside box was a disaster: the red-dot sight’s battery compartment was almost welded shut from what looks like a battery leak! How would this be possible for a new product?! Compartment was coated with the effluence that one typically gets from leaky batteries, the threads for the cap are corroded… who knows what else – May waterproofing was impacted. Wasn’t my fault I’ve had this piece of crap for only a few hours.
this is either a return to SigSauer that made it into packaging as new, or somebody else in the supply chain tried to repurpose a return.
I will be whole again (financially) once the return is processed but a lot of inconvenience. Printing return labels, purchasing a replacement, not using my rifle in interim…. Be warned. This was my first purchase from Sig (Romeo and Juliet) for almost $1K. Might well be my last based on this experience.

Held zero after hundreds of rounds. Great value for the price.

Bought this optic after many hours of research on my first build. Great optic, took it to the range in 20 degree weather for 8 hours and it held up great, no regrets on this purchase.

Purchased straight from sig before any sellers had the 4XT PRO on here, so it won’t say verified purchase
MOSTLY love this thing. Circle-plex reticle is flippin’ awesome. I do wish NV button had a lockout feature or was somehow physically protected from accidental activation, as it stands its the tallest button/point on the optic so it’s easy to bump. Also wouldn’t be so bad if the brightness returned to previous setting when hitting the NV button twice instead of the highest setting, not sure why that’s not a thing, but I can live with that. Biggest cons i’m finding are as follows:
-there’s no way to utilize killflash and front flip cap at the same time. I want my lenses protected from water and debris with the flip cap, and I want no reflections off objective lense when cap is open. I can’t have both with this optic due to the way they designed the components. They could have easily made this doable, not sure why they chose not to.
-the turrets are mushy and lack tactile clicks. The elevation turret at least gives audible clicks, but the windage turret is so quiet I couldn’t hear it until I tried it in my bedroom at home, with my ear right next to the sight. This coupled with the lack of tactile feedback means the windage turret feels like a smooth rotation with no stops, and makes it very difficult to know how much you’ve adjusted the turret. This caused trouble for me today trying to zero the sight, and after about 20 minutes of going back and forth getting groups with what I thought were adjustments having little to no effect down range, I ran out of time before the range closed, with my final grouping still being 4″ left and 2″ high, not much better than my initial Boresighting. I have a Romeo 7S NiB as well and that has the exact same issue, so I think this is just a Sig thing, really weird. But at the $100 sale price I got that red dot for, I can live with it. However for a $600 red dot like the 4XT Pro, I expect better and am frankly quite displeased.

Great price for a sight that performs like a premium product.

The Aimpoint T2 set the standard, but the Sig Romeo 4T Pro meets the T2 and even exceeds it in some ways for a lot less money. The original 4T series had been thoroughly tested in real world military and law enforcement applications and the feedback from those professionals was used to create the 4T Pro series. Improved caps, a kill flash, relocation of the buttons, removal of the solar feature, and the addition of a common-use lithium battery are just some of those improvements. The mount is very solid and can be swapped for any quality micro mount. The glass is very clear, the reticle bright and sharp, and the battery life is simply amazing. I have been using 4T’s on duty for years, so when I first got my hands on the 4T Pro I was not expecting much of an upgrade. I was wrong. As good as the 4T is the Pro is even better. If you are looking at the T2 save yourself a bunch of money and get the 4T Pro. If you are looking at the Aimpoint RDS (or HS515) buy yourself a much better red dot for just a few dollars more.
