Every time I buy something other than leupold I am disappointed, thankfully this is going on a truck gun so if it breaks off I won’t be upset. All I see is a halo no matter the setting. The sooner this piece of junk fails the sooner I’ll replace it with a leupold but until then we’ll see how long it lasts. For $100 more buy the leupold RDS for a budget red dot and get 10x the quality. I wanted a cheap red dot and and I was sent a cheap red dot, honestly I should of got a sight mark for $70 over this damn thing. It’s a shame that such a great company like sig sauer would put their name on such garbage.

I expected much better from Romeo 7s. The red dot is blurry; there is no solid dot; it is doubling. It feels like a cheap Chinese clone, although it is authentic. The Romeo 5 is much better compared to 7s.

I was reluctant to order this optic as I have a rather severe astigmatism with red dots. I ordered it anyway based on the feature set: aaa battery, captured cap, protected turrets, built like a tank, sig glass, etc. I am happy to report this is the best red dot I’ve ever tried! Much better than both my Romeo 5 and HS 515. Honestly I was taken aback by how tight and clear the dot is. I usually have a hard time pinning down a level where it’s low enough not to look like a comet and yet bright enough that it’s easily trackable. With this dot I set it to 4/5 and forget it! Also, the reports of blooming a bright circle around the tube are way overblown – honestly kind of suspicious about the claims as it’s much better than the 515 in that regard and only slightly worse than the Romeo 5 there. Simply amazing for the price. 100% recommend!

I always liked the Romeo 7, except the heavy weight. This 7S compact version is just what I was looking for, a compact 2MOA red dot scope that uses a single AAA battery and has the brightness adjuster on the back right! All of these features makes this a seriously great red dot scope and the mounting nut is heavy duty, unlike many other brands. A very well thought out and made red dot scope, a very solid recommendation without hesitation.

If you are looking for a review because you’ve seen the bad ones about haloing and sunburst don’t worry about it. If set to the correct brightness for he environment the dot is nice and clear and gives a good sight picture.
