Been using stramlight flashlights for over 23 years now. One of the most durable flashlights ive owned. Purchased this light as an edc light. I will be moving it from one to another. That way i dont have to purchase multiple holsters. I liked how the tlr7 sub looks better than this but after doing some research, i found this tlr7a/x is more compatible. This light will be going from sig, cz, glock, canik and glock clones. Easy to install and comes with most of the needed adapters. Other than for my p365 which i purchased from tacdev. This is very bright for the size. I wish it came with a rechargeable battery. And i wish its $100. But other than that, you get what you pay for!

Something awesome about a simple product that just works. It’s a bright light and mounts brilliantly. In my experience the 500 lumens is plenty to illuminate your workspace while being effective against unwanted eyes. Not to mention it adds some serious presence visually for the PDP compact. Effective light, perfect flush fit, authentic product, 2 min install, and ready to work. Fantastic device.

I purchased my first TLR-7 X 500 three years ago. I now have four, all mounted on handguns; two Glocks and two SAs (9mm and 40SW – his & hers so to speak). Installation is straight forward, small profile, light weight, trigger finger switch is easy to use, and the light intensity/pattern is great for room clearing. If you need light beyond 40 or so feet, you may want to consider one of Streamlight’s other models. Battery life has been good but depends on use. As with most things, personal results will vary. Enjoy!

The light works great. This was the 4th one I have ordered. Love the strobe feature. Inadvertently strobed myself by accident; and it definitely works to temporarily blind the person on the other end of it. I flashed myself by accident in a reflection off a shiny surface; and I was seeing blinding orbs for almost 10-15 minutes after. The controls are easy to use as well.

I purchased this for my Hellcat Pro and the fit is perfect. I bought it for my EDC because I walk early in the mornings with my dogs and sometimes the sun is not out yet. I wanted to have a light available because if I were to need my gun when it’s dark, obviously you want to see what you would be aiming at. This light is compact and it is bright.

I sold my old carry piece and the TLR7 Sub that I kept on it some time ago, and I’m just as impressed with this slightly bigger model. It’s perfectly useful for lighting up your bedroom hallway without blinding you, as well as pretty much anything within 30 to 50 yards depending on the conditions. I would want something more for a duty light, say a TLR-1 HL or X300, but for carry and practical use this one is hard to beat. The battery life is quite good, I used it as a makeshift lantern on a camping trip for several hours, off and on, and it took me another week to realize it was finally almost dead.
The key arrangement for mounting can be a little confusing, I consulted the instructions and their website but still had to play around with them until I found the one that fit. It’s mounted super sturdily on a G45 now, hasn’t rattled at all in months of carry. Battery replacement is quite easy and the lockout feature should be standard on all weapon lights as far as I’m concerned. I stuck 3 slits of Talen grip tape to the bezel because its quite smooth, and with wet hands can be difficult to turn. Before test firing I would also put a little chap stick on the lens, it sounds silly but does make carbon buildup much easier to clean with toothpaste or a mild abrasive.
The flood is consistent, it doesn’t really have a central hot spot. The color is quite cool too, which is usual for Streamlight but I think it allows for better contrast on more distant objects. This one has done me very well so far, and if it has any issues their customer service is great. After stripping a screw on my old TLR7 Sub they had it fixed and back to me within a week. For rifle lights I prefer Arisaka with Surefire cables/switches, but for pistol lights I say Streamlight all the way.
